Liverpool lineup vs. Tottenham: Predicted XI for Premier League clash including Andy Robertson decision

Robertson or Tsimikas? Jota or Nunez? Predicted Liverpool XI for Spurs clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has a couple of selection dilemmas to solve for Sunday's Premier League battle with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds are only expected to be missing Ibrahima Konate (knee) and Conor Bradley (hamstring) due to injury, but Andy Robertson returns from a one-game ban after his red card in the 2-2 draw with Fulham last weekend.

Joe Gomez operated at left-back during Wednesday's 2-1 EFL Cup quarter-final win over Southampton in Robertson's absence, but Kostas Tsimikas was also able to come off the bench after an ankle problem and is now a genuine contender to start.

The Greece international had already been earning more minutes than expected this season before picking up his problem, and as Robertson is severely struggling for form this season, Tsimikas has every right to feel optimistic about starting.

Gomez could therefore revert to centre-back duties alongside Virgil van Dijk, while Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch reform their recognisable midfield pairing after a couple of games away from each other.

Both Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai were given the night off in midweek, but the latter may just edge that selection head-to-head, while Mohamed Salah is a shoo-in as he aims to become the first Premier League player to hit 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas in one season.

Luis Diaz also being rested on Wednesday suggests that he will get the nod here over Cody Gakpo, while a fit-again Diogo Jota - the saviour against Fulham last weekend - is in line to displace Darwin Nunez up front.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota
