Mauricio Pochettino unsure of Federico Fazio debut

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says that he is uncertain about whether or not Federico Fazio will make his debut against Liverpool on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is unsure about Federico Fazio's participation against Liverpool on Sunday.

The defender arrived for £8m earlier this week, but the Spurs manager is uncertain about whether or not he will make his debut against the Reds at White Hart Lane.

He told reporters: "[Wednesday] was the first training session and we will see. It is important for him to adapt to the squad with a new philosophy, because he played at Sevilla, but today it is too early to say if he is involved in the squad for Sunday.

"We have a lot of players with good quality, and we need to get the balance right for the team. Every game is different, we're prepared and focused and we'll look forward to Sunday, Liverpool is very different.

"They pass and they pass and it's a new season. We have a different style and philosophy and they have spent a lot of money and some players will give them balance."

Pochettino's side are currently top of the Premier League.
