Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their EFL Cup clash with Liverpool.

Manchester City will be bidding to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup when they welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night.

The Citizens suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Brentford in their last match before the season was halted for the 2022 World Cup, which left them second in the Premier League table, five points behind leaders Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola's side booked their position in the last-16 stage of the EFL Cup courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Chelsea on November 9.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with the Reds.

Man City boss Guardiola will need to assess the fitness of the players involved in the World Cup, but the Citizens do not have any injury problems heading into this match, with Kyle Walker making his return for England in Qatar after groin surgery.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no suspended players for this match.
