Fenerbahce president Aziz Yilidirim has been sentenced to six years and three months in prison for his involvement in a match-fixing case.
Yilidirim was dealt the conviction today in a court in Turkey but has been released due to the time that he has already spent in jail over the past year.
The Fenerbahce chief, along with former Giresunspor president Olgun Peker and two other suspects, was convicted today following an investigation.
This ruling follows the Turkish Football Federation's decision to clear 16 clubs accused of match-fixing due to the lack of evidence against the Turkish outfits.
