Liverpool 'interested in Stindl swoop'

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Hannover captain Lars Stindl as a possible replacement for Steven Gerrard.

The Reds will lose Gerrard at the end of the season when the veteran midfielder joins Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer.

According to talkSPORT, manager Brendan Rodgers is keeping tabs on Stindl since he returned from injury and thinks that the 26-year-old may be the right man to fill the former England skipper's boots.

Stindl has scored three goals in seven appearances for the Bundesliga club since his return to fitness.
