Corinthians: 'Adriano broke our code of conduct'

Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade has revealed that former striker Adriano violated the club's code of conduct 67 times.

Adriano, 30, was released from the Brazilian club on March 12 after an apparent 'lack of interest in playing'.

"If we're guilty of anything, it's being soft," Andrade has been quoted as saying ahead of the court case in relation to the termination of the Brazilian's contract.

Adriano scored 27 goals in 48 games for Brazil.
