Inter Milan chief denies N'Golo Kante interest

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has denied reports linking the club with a summer move for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante.

Frank Lampard's side are thought to be open to offers for the £80m-rated World Cup winner, who missed a large chunk of last season through injury.

Reports had suggested that Inter boss Antonio Conte wanted a reunion with Kante at San Siro, having signed the former Leicester City man during his time in charge at Stamford Bridge.

However, Ausilio has rubbished reports that the Nerazzurri are interested in the 29-year-old and ruled out the possibility of him linking up with Conte this summer.

"We've never started anything to sign Kante from Chelsea. No chance. He's not a target," Ausilio told Sky Sports Italia.

Kante was limited to just 22 Premier League appearances last season, scoring three goals.
