Chelsea will reportedly deny Romelu Lukaku a loan move in the New Year in order for him to provide cover during the African Nations Cup.
The Belgian striker has made few appearances for the Blues since moving from Anderlecht in August for £20m.
Clubs such as Stoke, Everton and Malaga have been linked to taking to Lukaku on loan, but Chelsea are keen to keep the player at Stamford Bridge to cover for Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou when they compete in the African Nations Cup after Christmas.
Lukaku's agent recently denied that the 18-year-old was seeking a loan move, saying that he is "very happy" at Chelsea.
