Frank Lampard: 'I'm looking forward to go back to Chelsea'

New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard admits that he is looking forward to going back to Chelsea for the chance to see old friends and people behind the scenes.

New York City FC midfielder Frank Lampard has admitted that he is looking forward to going back to Chelsea to visit old acquaintances.

The 37-year-old, who plied his trade for the Blues between 2001 and 2014, remains a season-ticket holder with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

He is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I'll look forward to going back to Chelsea. I never really had that opportunity when I left there to go to the stadium to see friends and people behind the scenes."

Lampard will be facing off against former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard on Sunday when New York take on Los Angeles Galaxy.
