Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has completed another 90 minutes with the club's Under-23 side as he continues to recover from a knee injury.
After sustaining the issue during the closing weeks of last season, Rudiger spent the summer going through a rehabilitation programme in order to put himself in a position to return to the first team as soon as possible.
While he has been training with the rest of the squad throughout August, manager Frank Lampard has opted not to rush back the Germany international given the lack of numbers in the centre of defence.
However, the 26-year-old appears in line to be back in contention after the international break, having completed a second-string fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday night.
The outing against Spurs follows an appearance against Liverpool at the same level earlier this month, which should aid Rudiger's hopes of being available for the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on September 14.
