Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Chelsea injury, suspension list vs. Leicester

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they play host to Leicester City.

Thomas Tuchel's side have endured a mixed start to the new campaign, collecting four points from fixtures against Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United respectively.

The game against the Foxes is made all the more intriguing due to the ongoing transfer saga involving Wesley Fofana, but Tuchel may be more focused on the players which are currently unavailable for selection.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their contest at Stamford Bridge.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Earlier this month, N'Golo Kante was withdrawn during the closing stages against Tottenham Hotspur due to a hamstring injury. While Tuchel has not given a specific time frame for his return, the Frenchman is expected to be absent for a number of weeks.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Kalidou Koulibaly

Length of ban: One game

Return date: August 30 (vs. Southampton)

In just his third competitive outing for Chelsea, Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off for two cynical fouls during the fixture with Leeds. As a result, the Senegalese will now miss the meeting with Leicester before returning against Southampton three days later.
