Chelsea awarded 'ghost' goal

Chelsea have been awarded a controversial goal in their FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium.

Juan Mata's shot soon after half time appeared to hit a heap of players in front of the goalline following a corner for the Blues.

However, referee Martin Atkinson gave the goal without consulting his linesman to put Chelsea 2-0 ahead.

Gareth Bale pulled a goal back for Spurs soon after to make the score 2-1.
