Caen record back-to-back wins

Goals from Sloan Privat, Alaeddine Yahia and Bengali-Fode Koita ensured that Caen put together back-to-back wins in Ligue 1 with a 4-1 victory over travelling Reims, as Patrice Garande's men aim to climb off the foot of the table.

Reims got off to the worst start possible when they saw Valentin Roberge somehow put the ball into his own net with just three minutes of the game being played.

Caen made use of a surprising opening gambit and they doubled their lead only a few minutes later through Privat, who tucked in following a smart cross from Emmanuel Imorou.

The visitors grabbed themselves a lifeline in the 27th minute as Gaetan Charbonnier converted a penalty kick after Yahia had clumsily brought down David Ngog in the area.

The hosts soon restored their two goal advantage, though, when Yahia reacted quickest from a set piece to redeem himself with an easy finish from close range, leaving the score at 3-1 going into half time.

Reims might have found a route back into the fixture had Gregory Bourillon not been so wasteful from Gaetan Courtet's headed pass.

Caen added a fourth with just under 15 minutes to play, with Koita stepping up to convert from the spot after Mickael Tacalfred handled in his own area, leaving the final score at 4-1.
