Barcelona are reportedly refusing to give up in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland.
A number of Europe's elite clubs are set to battle for the 21-year-old's signature in the summer of 2022, with the player's agent Mino Raiola previously suggesting that the Catalan giants are one of the teams in the race to sign him.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is desperate to lure Haaland to Camp Nou and is believed to have held discussions with Raiola on Monday during a trip to Italy.
According to Marca, Barca view Haaland as the 'perfect package' who they believe can produce returns for the club both on and off the field, and they are trying all they can to finance his potential transfer to Xavi's side.
The Norway international will allegedly have a €70m (£63m) release clause in his contract next summer, though the player's yearly wage demands worth around €49.3m (£42m), as well as Raiola's €55.2m (£47m) agent fee, would see his overall value rise significantly to a figure Barcelona would currently struggle to afford.
Laporta is believed to be working on the latter, having recently met with Raiola; however, talks are yet to reach an advanced stage.
