Barcelona make enquiry over Manchester City defender Eric Garcia?

Barcelona have reportedly identified Manchester City defender Eric Garcia as a potential transfer target.

Before joining City ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, Garcia spent almost a decade in the youth setup at Camp Nou.

However, three years on from his departure, ESPN claims that Barcelona are interested in securing a reunion with the centre-back.

Although the 19-year-old is highly-regarded at the Etihad Stadium, he has been limited to 10 starts and four substitute outings in all competitions.

While the report adds that City are not interested in a sale, Garcia currently has just two years remaining on his contract.

The Spain Under-21 international may be given the chance to impress next season before a long-term decision is made on his future.
