Barcelona left-back Adriano is close to signing a new contract with the Spanish giants, according to his agent Paulo Affonso.
The Brazilian's current deal runs out in 2014 and Affonso said that both parties want to reach an agreement on a new contract.
"We are very close to reaching an agreement, although we're not there yet," Marca quotes Affonso as saying.
"We're making a big effort. Barca wants to renew Adriano and Adriano wants to be renewed."
Adriano has made 58 league appearances for Barca.
