Barcelona youngster Isaac Cuenca insists that he has been assured a key role in the team next season.

Barcelona youngster Isaac Cuenca has claimed that new Catalan boss Tito Vilanova is 'counting on him' next season.

The 21-year-old made 16 appearances last season for the Spanish club in a breakthrough campaign under Pep Guardiola, but he has insisted that he is not fearful of losing his place.

"Every coach is different. They all want a certain kind of player, but Tito has said he's counting on me, so I'm happy," Cuenca told the club's official website.

Barcelona finished second in La Liga last season.
