Willock 'agrees personal terms with Newcastle'

Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has reportedly moved a step closer to completing a transfer to Newcastle United.

After starring during a loan period at the Magpies last season, Steve Bruce has been keen to secure a permanent deal for the Gunners academy graduate.

Newcastle allegedly agreed a fee, said to be in the region of £25m, for the 21-year-old earlier this week before personal terms became an issue.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the North-East giants and Willock has now reached a resolution regarding wages.

While Newcastle want to wrap up a deal as soon as possible, Willock would need to be registered with the Premier League by 12pm on Friday to be available for Sunday's opener against West Ham United.

Arsenal are expected to use any funds generated from Willock's sale to try to sign Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard or Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham.
