Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly remains interested in securing a transfer to Barcelona.
While the Gunners have improved in recent weeks, Aubameyang is no nearer to extending his contract at the Emirates Stadium past the end of next season.
According to The Mirror, that is partly due to the Gabon international being keen on a switch to Camp Nou in the coming months.
The report suggests that Aubameyang is regarded as Barcelona's second choice to Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez, who is valued in the region of £95m.
With the Argentine potentially being denied a transfer to La Liga, it could leave the Catalan outfit to make an approach for Aubameyang.
Although he has recently turned 31, club officials may be prepared to take advantage of being able to sign the versatile attacker for a cut-price fee.
