How Arsenal could line up against Leicester City

How Arsenal could line up against Leicester

Top four-chasing Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend as they make the trip to Leicester City.

The Gunners have lost three of their last four Premier League matches, including back-to-back losses at the hands of Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal, who are fifth in the table and a point adrift of Chelsea in the final Champions League qualification spot, have also lost seven league games on the road this season and need to put that right at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Unai Emery may set out his side in the East Midlands.

Out: Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Hector Bellerin (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle), Rob Holding (knee) Doubtful: Denis Suarez (groin), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (sinus)

Sunday's trip to Leicester comes four days before Arsenal take on Valencia in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, so Emery must decide whether to rotate his squad.

Ramsey is still out of contention because of a thigh injury and he may have played his final game for the club ahead of his summer switch to Juventus.

Emery is also definitely without three other players as Welbeck, Holding and Bellerin are all long-term absentees, while Barcelona loanee Suarez is carrying a groin problem and is out of the picture.

The Gunners may have Aubameyang back in their squad this weekend after the Gabonese striker underwent a sinus procedure that ruled him out of the 3-1 loss at Wolves.

Aubameyang's expected return could coincide with Alexandre Lacazette being given a rest, though alternatively Emery may use both strikers, as he has done more often in the second half of the campaign.

That would mean a change of shape and a likely return at the back for out-of-form defender Shkodran Mustafi, who still has the trust of his manager despite some poor performances.
