How Arsenal could line up against Everton

Arsenal star man Bukayo Saka is expected to be given the green light to start in Sunday's closing Premier League fixture against Everton at the Emirates.

The Gunners enter the weekend two points below Manchester City in second position, meaning that they require a victory and a Citizens' slip-up against West Ham United to pip Pep Guardiola's men to the title.

Arsenal managed to prolong the fight for supremacy by beating Manchester United 1-0 last weekend, although the triumph came at a minor cost as Saka limped off the field in the 82nd minute.

However, the 22-year-old was only feeling the effects of clattering into the advertising hoardings, so he should be passed fit to reprise his regular role on the right-hand side of the Gunners' attack.

A fit Saka would undoubtedly take his place in an unchanged starting XI also comprising in-form pair Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard, who combined for the only goal at Old Trafford last weekend.

Thomas Partey is also set for another start at the base of the midfield in between Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, although whether the Ghanaian will play for the club again after this season remains to be seen, as his contract expires next summer amid talk of a possible transfer elsewhere.

Jurrien Timber is still being held back from senior action nine months on from his ACL injury, and while he is now travelling with the first team, he has not made a Premier League matchday squad since the opening day.

Mikel Arteta may rightly see no need to risk the Dutchman with Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba all shining in front of Golden Glove winner David Raya, bidding to keep his 17th clean sheet of the season on the final day.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
