Mesut Ozil a doubt for England vs. Germany

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is reportedly a doubt for Germany's clash against England next week, after suffering an illness.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly a doubt for Germany's clash against England on Tuesday.

The Gunners' £42.5m record-signing is struggling with an illness, and could miss the game at Wembley, according to The Mirror.

Arsenal are keen for the playmaker to avoid over-exerting himself for a friendly game, and the German medical team are believed to be understanding of the Gunners' concerns.

The Premier League leaders would prefer that he was left out of both Germany's friendlies against England and Italy ahead of the game against in-form Southampton after the international break.
