Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette: 'I can work with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang'

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette says that he is confident of being able to strike up a partnership with teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has said that he and teammate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can strike up an effective partnership in attack.

During the January transfer window, the Gunners signed Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund and it has been generally perceived that the Gabon international will be first choice in Arsene Wenger's starting lineup.

However, Lacazette - who has just returned from a knee injury - feels that the pair can work together due to their different qualities in the final third.

The 26-year-old is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "He is a different player, he loves the space and I'm a player who loves to get the ball to my feet.

"Auba is a nice guy. I think we can be good together. After the first penalty against Stoke he told me, 'If there is another one I will give you the ball' so it was nice from him.

"It was good for my confidence. It shows that, even if we are strikers, we can think about everyone in the team and we are not focused only to score goals."

Lacazette has scored three goals in two matches since returning to the squad against Stoke City last weekend.
