Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere back in training this week

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is to return to full training this week following an ankle injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Jack Wilshere will return to full training this week following an ankle injury.

The midfielder is yet to feature for the Gunners in 2015 after undergoing surgery back in November.

However, the England international is now edging closer to first-team action.

"He's back in full training this week," Wenger is quoted as saying by the club's official website. "I don't know exactly [when he will be back]. We have to monitor him on a daily basis and see how he develops."

Arsenal continue their Premier League campaign on Tuesday when they welcome strugglers Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium.
