Rosicky ruled out for three months

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Tomas Rosicky has been ruled out of action for three months with a thigh injury.

The Czech Republic international suffered the blow after coming on as a substitute in Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Burnley at the Emirates on January 30.

Rosicky, whose contract at the North London club expires in the summer, had only just returned to action from a seven-month spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.

In Friday's press conference, Wenger confirmed the news and told reporters: "We are all shocked, we hope it is not his last game. He will not need surgery."

Rosicky joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund almost a decade ago.
