Oxlade-Chamberlain hopes to return "soon"

Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has claimed that he hopes to be back on the pitch "soon" after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The England international picked up the problem during the Gunners' 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup last month.

On Instagram, Oxlade-Chamberlain uploaded a video of himself doing sprints, indicating that he is closing in on a comeback.

The 22-year-old wrote: "The rehab is going well, 80-90% sprints today...looking forward to being back on the pitch soon."
