Accrington Stanley have signed former West Ham United midfielder Danny Whitehead on a short-term deal.
The 21-year-old had been without a club after being released by the Hammers at the start of the year.
Whitehead could make his Stanley debut tonight away to Wycombe Wanderers in League Two.
"I'm delighted to get something signed and hopefully get playing," he told the club's official website. "I'm ready if needed. I've been training here for a few weeks now so I know all of the players well so if and when the gaffer picks me I'll be ready to do my best for him and the club."
Whitehead joined West Ham from Stockport County in 2013 before making just one senior appearance for the club.
