Hungarian Aron Szialgyi has won gold in the men's individual sabre competetition at the ExCeL Arena.
22-year-old Szialgyi went 7-0 up before eventually beating Italian Occhiuzzi 15-8.
The victory represents Hungary's first gold medal at London 2012.
Meanwhile, Russia's Nikolay Kovalev took bronze after defeating Romanian Rares Dumitrescu 15-10.
