Helen Flanagan keen for Coronation Street return

Helen Flanagan outlines her desire to return to Coronation Street in the near future.

Helen Flanagan has revealed that she would "love" to return to Coronation Street in the near future.

The 30-year-old has played Sally and Kevin's oldest daughter Rosie Webster since 2000, departing the show in 2012 but then returning for a second stint between 2017 and 2018.

Flanagan - currently pregnant with her third child - had been living in Scotland for the last few years but is now back near Manchester following her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair's transfer to Preston North End and is keen to return to Weatherfield.

"I was on Coronation Street since I was a little girl, since I was nine, so it's a massive part of my life. I really miss it," she told The Mirror.

"I really miss my acting. I miss the make-up girls, I miss the cast, I miss the excitement of filming. I miss everything about it. I'd love to return."

Brooke Vincent, who plays Rosie's sister Sophie, has also been absent from the soap through maternity leave but is expected to return to the show soon.
