Coronation Street's Sally wants Rosie and Sophie to return for wedding

Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor says that she wants her on-screen daughters to return to the show if her character gets married in the future.

Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor has revealed that she hopes her on-screen daughters Rosie (Helen Flanagan) and Sophie (Brooke Vincent) will return for her character Sally's future wedding to Tim (Joe Duttine).

In a storyline that aired last year, it emerged that Tim's existing marriage to Sally was void as he suddenly remembered that he had got hitched to a waitress in Las Vegas 15 years earlier.

The Metcalfes are currently pre-occupied with the domestic abuse saga involving Tim's father Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) but at some point in the future Sally and Tim are expected to tie the knot legally, and Dynevor wants Flanagan and Vincent - both currently on maternity leave - back for the big day.

"There was a point where Brooke came over with [her son] and Helen came over with her two little girls and we had lunch together," Dynevor told Inside Soap.

"I said to them, 'I can't believe you're in my house with your children when I've known you since you were babies!' Every time I speak to Helen and Brooke I say, 'Have you told Corrie you would like to come back yet?'"

Vincent recently revealed that she is hoping to return to the cobbles soon.
