Team GB going strong in women's 3m springboard

Katherine Torrance and Lydia Rosenthall of Great Britian qualify for the women's 3m springboard with a strong showing in the preliminary round.

The Team GB duo of Katherine Torrance and Lydia Rosenthall have qualified from the women's 3m springboard preliminary round after a strong showing at the Baku Aquatics Centre.

The 16-year-olds finished first and second respectively after their nine dives, and will now take their places in this afternoon's final.

Torrance was ranked first with a score of 431.15, narrowly ahead of compatriot Rosenthall who scored 427.25.

Rosenthall finished in the top five in the 1m and 3m springboard events at the 2013 British Championships, while Torrance is a former world junior finalist.
