Rebecca Gallantree, Alicia Blagg pipped to podium

GB duo Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg miss out on a medal at the London leg of the World Diving Series by less than a quarter of a point.

Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg have missed out on a 3m synchro medal at the World Diving Series in London by less than a quarter of a point.

The GB duo consistently improved their scores over the course of their five-dive routine but their total of 295.44 was just outdone by the 295.68 from Canadian pair Jennifer Abel and Pamela Ware, who took bronze.

Italians Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallape only began their season last week at the Russian meet, but produced an excellent showing to take the second podium spot with 314.40.

The gold medal went the way of China, as Shi Tingmao and Wu Minxia picked up a score of 331.50 to make it four wins from four meetings of the season.
