The 20-year-old recorded a score of 493.70 from his six dives in Plymouth to finish ahead of Matthew Dixon and Matty Lee in silver and bronze respectively.

Despite Daley's convincing win, he again struggled with his 'firework' dive, scoring just 61.20 on his new second-round routine.

Scores of 91 and 96.20 in the first and fourth rounds helped Daley finish 66 points clear of Dixon, who won gold at 13 years of age last year, when Daley missed the competition in Sheffield.
