Jack Laugher wins 3m springboard final at World Junior Diving Championships

Laugher clinches third youth title

British diver Jack Laugher has won the 3m springboard final at the World Junior Championships in Adelaide, Australia.

The 17-year-old, who was unsuccessful at the London 2012 Games in the summer, picked up a strong score, which included one 10, to secure his third youth title of his career.

Laugher snatched an overall score of 635.45 while Peng Jianfeng of China came closest to the Brit with a score of 56.80.

The teen will join Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley in the 3m synchronised event tomorrow.
