Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley has revealed that he is "gutted" that his late father could not witness his performance at the London Games.

Rob Daley, who helped train the 18-year-old, died of brain cancer at the age of 40 last year.

"I'm gutted he wasn't there to watch it," Daley told The Jonathan Ross Show. "All the hard work we put in together when I was young paid off. It's good my family have finally got some good news."

Daley recently announced that he had received three As and and A* in his A-level exams.
