Tom Daley wins silver at European Championships

Britain's Tom Daley has won the silver medal in the 10m platform final at the European Championships in Berlin this afternoon.

The 20-year-old, who won gold in the same event at the Commonwealth Games earlier this summer, posted a total score of 535.45.

The gold went to Russia's Victor Minibaev, who accumulated 586.10 from his six dives in the final, while Sascha Klein of Germany finished third to complete the podium.

Daley had been the defending champion at the event, having won the title for the second time in his career in Eindhoven two years ago.
