Rui Costa clinches stage 16 victory at Tour de France

Movistar rider Rui Costa wins the 16th stage of the Tour de France as the race moves from Vaison-la-Romaine to Gap.

Movistar rider Rui Costa has triumphed on the 16th stage of the Tour de France.

The Portuguese finished in just under four hours as the race moved 168km from Vaison-la-Romaine to Gap.

Meanwhile, Team Sky's Chris Froome retained his overall lead with five stages remaining.

Christophe Riblon of Ag2r-La Mondiale finished in second place behind Costa, while FDJ.fr's Arnold Jeannesson completed the podium.
