Rui Costa wins stage 19 of Tour de France, Chris Froome retains yellow jersey

Rui Costa has won stage 19 of the Tour de France, while Team Sky's Chris Froome has retained the yellow jersey.

Costa managed to come out on top after five hours and 59 minutes in the mountains during a 204.5km course.

While Costa clinched the stage win, all eyes were on Froome, who crossed the finish line alongside Alberto Contador to keep his lead of five minutes and 11 seconds.

Froome is now 243km from winning the 100th edition of the elite race.
