Jody Cundy wins the bronze in the individual pursuit

British cyclist Jody Cundy has won the bronze medal in the men's C4 individual pursuit.

Cundy, who was disqualified in the time trial yesterday, beat Diego Gomez in impressive fashion.

The 33-year-old went off quickly from the start and had overlapped Gomez before the halfway stage, automatically giving him the win.

In the following race, Romanian Carol Eduard Novak comfortably won the gold medal following on from his world record performance in the heats this morning.

The silver medal was awarded to Jiri Jezek of the Czech Republic.
