Irvine 'haunted' by Olympics display

Cyclist Martyn Irvine has admitted that he still feels 'haunted' by his performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Northern Irishman will compete in the men's omnium at the Track World Championships in Paris with one eye on the Rio Olympics next summer.

"I put on a horrible show and it still haunts me a bit so I want to bury that demon," BBC Sport quotes Irvine as saying. "It is kind of the reason why I am doing this."

Irvine finished 13th in the Olympics.
