Mark Cavendish has secured first spot in stage three of the Tour of Britain this afternoon.
The Team Sky rider sprinted to the victory as he put yesterday's second-place finish behind him. The 27-year-old was given a lead-out by Luke Rowe and Bernhard Eisel as he coasted to a stage success with ease.
The eight-stage Tour of Britain continues on Wednesday.
