Tour de Yorkshire host sites revealed

Tour de Yorkshire organisers reveal a list of host sites ahead of next year's inaugural event.

Organisers of the Tour de Yorkshire have announced the start and finish points of next year's inaugural race.

The event, which takes place between 1-3 May 2015, has been set up to build on the success of this summer's Tour de France Grand Depart in the historic Northern England county.

It was today revealed that Leeds, Wakefield, Scarborough, York, Bridlington and Selby will all either host starts or finishes, although the exact positioning will remain under wraps until a later date.

The Tour de Yorkshire will be the third major men's international cycle race held annually in Britain, following in the footsteps of RideLondon-Surrey Classic and the Tour of Britain.
