Jonathan Tiernan-Locke retains Tour of Britain lead

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke has kept his overall lead after the penultimate stage of the Tour of Britain.

The Brit was part of a group of riders that finished 46 seconds off the pace as the race moved 172.9km from Barnstaple to Dartmouth.

However, he will still be 18 seconds better off than Australian rival Nathan Haas when the contest enters its final day on Sunday.

Spain's Pablo Urtasun took the seventh stage as he sprinted away from Dutchman Marc de Maar.

Tomorrow's final stage is a 147.8km ride from Reigate to Guildford.
