Great Britain's sprint cyclist Victoria Pendleton has insisted that her training leading up to next year's Olympic Games in London are going well.
The 31-year-old has also revealed that the Games is the only event that she is now building towards.
As a result, the 2012 World Championships have been put on the back-burner.
"I'm in a better position than I was in 2008 at this time of year," said Pendleton. "I'm quite positive with the way training's going. I haven't done much speed work so far, that's going to come."
"I want to be in the best shape possible for London and it's quite a big time difference between the two in terms of holding a performance, holding form.
"You can't be too greedy and doing a double peak in a year is quite tough. You have to work towards one major goal."
Pendleton has previously claimed that she will retire from the spot at the end of the Games.
