Man arrested in connection with cyclist death

The driver of an Olympics media shuttle bus has been arrested in connection with the death of a cyclist.

A 30-year-old male was knocked down and killed on Wednesday evening by a vehicle that was transporting journalists between Olympic venues.

The incident occurred on the A106, around one mile from the Olympic Park.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman has said that a man aged in his mid sixties was arrested at the scene at 9.28pm on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
