Moises Henriques breaks his jaw in horrific fielding collision

Surrey cricketer Moises Henriques will have an operation followed by dental surgery after he broke his jaw in three places in a collision with Rory Burns.

Surrey all-rounder Moises Henriques has broken his jaw in three places in an on-field incident against Sussex Sharks at Arundel.

The 28-year-old collided with his teammate Rory Burns in the deep as they both tried to catch the same ball.

Three ambulances rushed on to the field to treat the players, who were later taken away to hospital.

Surrey later announced that Henriques will have an operation followed by dental surgery, while Burns needs stitches on his face and head.

The match was abandoned because of the incident.
