Perth Scorchers beat Brisbane Heat in Big Bash

Perth Scorchers defeat Brisbane Heat by nine wickets in a rain-interrupted match in the Big Bash.

Nathan Coulter-Mile struck a remarkable 23 runs off six balls to earn Perth Scorchers a nine-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat.

In a rain-interrupted match, Brisbane had reached 109-4 off 13.1 overs when the heavens opened at the Brisbane Cricket Ground.

The Duckworth and Lewis method dictated that Perth required 51 runs off five overs and that target looked to be out of reach when they required 28 runs off the final 10 balls.

However, Coulter-Mile struck two fours and two sixes in a six-ball innings as he and Shaun Marsh secured victory for their side with four balls remaining.

Perth have moved up to third place in the Big Bash table while Brisbane sit in seventh.
