Melbourne comfortably beat Adelaide

An innings of 59 runs from 46 balls from Tom Cooper led Melbourne Renegades to a 48-run victory over Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League.

Cooper entered the action with his side on 51-3 but he remained at the crease for the remainder of Melbourne's innings to help them post a score of 155-6.

Adelaide were always struggling to maintain the required run-rate as they lost wickets at regular intervals.

Johan Botha scored a run-a-ball innings of 31 runs before he was dismissed by Marlon Samuels, who went on to record figures of 3-16.

Melbourne dismissed Adelaide for 107 with nine balls remaining and their win takes them two points clear at the top of the Big Bash League.
