Hobart Hurricanes beat Sydney Thunder by 73 runs

Sydney Thunder are beaten for the 19th consecutive match, losing at the Hobart Hurricanes by 73 runs.

Hurricane Hobarts have beaten Sydney Thunder by 73 runs in the Twenty20 Big Bash League.

The Thunder, who have now lost their last 19 matches and have not recorded a win in 750 days, were all out for 94 with four over remaining in reply to the home side's tally of 167-5.

Man of the Match Ben Dunk hit a 54-ball 96 to register the highest individual knock of the competition so far.

Sydney's chase never got going, as Daniel Hughes fell for a duck in the first over before captain Michael Hussey departed for just two.

The result moves the Hurricanes up from seventh to fourth in regular season table.
