Derbyshire crowned Division Two champions

Derbyshire have been crowned Division Two champions following a six-wicket victory over Hampshire at the County Ground.

Karl Krikken's side had already secured their promotion to the County Championship on Thursday but needed to win their final match of the season to clinch their first piece of silverware since 1993.

Yorkshire were also promoted on Thursday but narrowly missed out on the title, despite beating Essex.

The first promotion in Derbyshire's history has seen them return to the top flight for the first time since 2000.
